This year we will be participating in Torbays’ ‘England’s Seafood Feast’ from 22nd September to 10th October. This is a celebration of the wonderful seafood available in the area, with varied offerings available at a number of restaurants around the bay.
As our specialty at The Buccaneer is fantastic fresh mussels, we have decided to celebrate this humble but delicious mollusc by serving it cooked in any of seven different broths – from the classic mariniere to exotic Thai spiced.
What better way to enjoy your moules mariniere than dining whilst looking out over our beautiful bay towards some of the estuaries where they are harvested!

Its that time of year again….time to briefly say goodbye to our Sunday Roast lunches until September. As we do every year we have now introduced a more extensive summer menu and seasonal specials, including great local fish & shellfish, and hearty plough-mans lunches & salads, all accompanied by quality ales, ciders and lagers and an extensive range of wines and spirits.
Come and enjoy summer dining with one of the most breath-taking views in the country!
As we move towards the summer we have extended our opening hours. Our bar hours are 12 to 11pm Sunday to Thursday and 12 to midnight Friday and Saturday. Please check our menu page on this site for current food service hours.
During February we are open 7 days per week, but will not be open until 4pm on Mondays. On Sundays our bar will only open until 10pm and our kitchen until 5pm.
